Terms of Service

Note: this document is the operating agreement for the platform as built. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction before you open to the public.

1. What this service is

AppRanking.in operates a public leaderboard of digital products. Positions on that leaderboard are allocated by payment under the rules published on the how it works page.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for everything done under it. You must keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or our community guidelines.

3. Product submissions

• You may only submit a product you own, represent, or may lawfully submit publicly, and you must say which of those applies.
• You must have the right to use every name, logo and description on your listing.
• Submissions are reviewed and may be rejected, edited for accuracy, suspended or removed.
• You must not submit malware, scams, impersonations, or content that is illegal where we operate.

4. Paid positions

A payment buys a position on this platform's leaderboard for the stated campaign duration. Positions are not exclusive and are not permanent: any other user may take your position by paying the required amount, at which point your product moves down. This is the core mechanic of the service and is not a defect.

Payments purchase visibility or leaderboard placement on this platform only. They do not purchase or guarantee rankings, reviews, installs, downloads or visibility on third-party stores or search engines.

5. Payments, tax and invoices

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices are shown in the platform currency and are calculated by our servers at the time of purchase. Applicable taxes are added or included as stated at checkout, and an invoice is issued for every successful payment.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the refund policy.

7. Community content

Comments and other content you post remain yours, but you grant us a licence to display them on the platform. We may hide or remove content that breaches our guidelines, and we may rate-limit posting to control spam.

8. Acceptable use

• No attempts to bypass payment, quoting, locking or rate-limiting mechanisms.
• No automated scraping that degrades the service.
• No fraudulent payments, chargeback abuse, or coupon or referral abuse.
• No manipulation of community signals through fake accounts or coordinated activity.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced where practical.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or indirect or consequential loss.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Ranking history and financial records are retained for audit purposes even after termination.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the platform, and the updated date at the top of this page will change.
